Dr. K is delighted to announce that he is one of the very few physicians in Arizona to introduce PRF: a new and revolutionary replacement to the good old PRP
The use of Blood Concentrates is becoming more and more popular in Medical Aesthetics. Patients like the idea of using their own cells instead of a synthetic alternative in their quest for a younger and fresher look. EZ PRF is the result of years of experience and study. Consequently, we’ve found what we think is the ULTIMATE blood concentrate!
Not only does EZPRF contain more platelets per mcL, it also has leukocytes (WBC) & mesenchymal stem cell!
The fact that the plasma actually clots into fibrin allows for a much slower release of the Growth factor and cytokines.
The Vampire Facial is a revolutionary new skin rejuvenating technique that treats many of the symptoms of aging. It makes your skin feel amazing and extremely well hydrated. Using the micro-needling process, it delivers the products to heal and rejuvenate the skin into the dermis, the layer of the skin where this can take place. Most topical products just sit on top of your skin, unable to penetrate into the dermis to do what they are intended to do.
Major benefits of this procedure are:
We draw a small amount of your own blood and spin it down in a special FDA approved centrifuge to isolate and super-concentrated all the healing and growth factors from the platelets in your blood, called Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
While this is processing in the centrifuge, we place a special numbing cream on your face to numb your skin so the procedure will be painless.
We then place the PRP on your face and use a special medical micro-needling device that penetrates the skin much more effectively than anything you can buy on the market. This creates tiny channels (micro-injuries) in the skin that allow for the penetration and absorption of the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) through topical application. This powerful, self-healing procedure, produces a marked improvement in skin texture, pores, acne, scars, and overall tone and complexion. The Vampire Facial has become a patient favorite and a favorite in Hollywood because it effectively treats multiple skin conditions, for patients of all ages and ethnicities, and is reasonably priced for all the benefits it gives.
The Vampire Facial uses medical micro-needling with topically applied PRP to treat concerns more visible on the surface of the skin. The Vampire Facelift uses fillers and injected PRP throughout the face to lift and volumize the face. This is used when volume in the face has been lost.
Dr. K has been one of the pioneers of this procedure in Arizona for the past 4 years.
We use both live stem cells as well as Amniotic fluid-derived stem cells for hair restoration. Combined with PRP this is a very effective therapeutic method that can be combined with medical management and supplements for successful hair restoration.
PRP therapy for hair loss is a treatment that involves withdrawing a patient’s own blood, processing it so that only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma) remain, and injecting it into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins that stimulate natural hair growth.
Amniotic fluid has been a major component of the growing field of regenerative medicine. Its applications in medical practice are constantly being expanded. Recently medical providers have discovered that amniotic fluid can facilitate excellent hair regrowth through its many growth factors and other beneficial cytokines. Amniotic fluid, and amniotic tissue products, are rich in cellular signally markers that stimulate tissue regeneration in the areas being treated.
Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is a type of temporary dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body, with the highest concentrations in the joints, eyes, and skin. In the skin, hyaluronic acid attracts water, which allows the skin to become more hydrated.

Today women prefer less invasive and non-invasive procedures that involve minimal downtime and less self-care after the treatment. PDO (Polydioxanone) thread is a thread with no cones, thus no damage to the tissue. This is the same thread used in Cardiac and other surgeries as sutures, and thus it is very safe.
The procedure is suitable for most people from 25 years or older when the effects of aging become apparent. Aging causes the skin tissue to thin because the collagen and elastin fibers break down, which results in sagging skin, deep creases, folds, and wrinkles. PDO thread reverses the effects of aging.
Threads are implanted into the sub-dermal skin and stimulate the production of collagen and the skin becomes firmer, elastic, and moisturized. The thread dissolves itself in a couple of months but the effect lasts for 12-18 months.
The thread can be applied to anywhere on the body, such as a flabby face, cheeks, eyebrows, to prevent eye bags, sagging neck skin, fine lines around Cheeks, angle around the mouth, laugh lines, forearm and abdomen, smokers lines, and lifting of breast. The procedure is very simple, nearly the same as dermal fillers, but in this, we leave a thread inside instead of filler.
We are thrilled to offer this new PDO absorbable Thread Lift procedure to our clients. The PDO Thread Lift procedure safely and instantly lifts up loose skin on the face, neck, and body with minimal downtime.
Traditionally, most people would look into plastic surgery to get a face-lift as there weren’t very effective noninvasive treatments to lift the loose skin. However, now there is an effective nonsurgical option that can lift and contour and suspend the sagging tissues on the face, neck, and body, especially for those that need only minimal to moderate rejuvenation or for those that do not wish to undergo surgical intervention.
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are a special medical grade thread that is thinner than hair, made of protein. Research has confirmed that PDO relaxes tendons and muscles, whilst a foreign body reaction improves the blood flow to the area stimulating neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen in the skin). We use Nova Threads and Viola brands to name a few. Dr. K has performed more than 100 PDO facelift procedures since 2017.
A beautiful and healthy face has a “V-shape”. With the aging of tissues and the action of gravity, this “V-shape” diminishes or inverts. The idea behind the PDO thread lift is to either create a scaffolding in order to support the tissues and keep them in the “V-shape” or where necessary to delicately lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the “V-shape” where it’s been lost.
Although PDO threads can be inserted almost anywhere, even in the body, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively.
What are PDO Threads and how does it work?
PDO threads are hypodermic needles preloaded with a synthetic PDO absorbable suture. PDO (polydioxanone) sutures are surgical sutures that are used to perform cardiac surgery. All sutures are FDA-approved and PDO sutures are one of the safest materials that can be used in the body. Your skin will fully absorb the PDO thread within 4 to 6 months without leaving any scar tissue.
The most popular treatment areas are the brows, cheeks (mid-face), jowls, and the upper neck. However, Thread Lift can be performed virtually anywhere on the body, such as to lift loose skin on the upper arms, stomach, thighs and around the knees.
How is the PDO Thread Lift performed?
Pain can be usually managed with acetaminophen (Tylenol) and/or ibuprofen (Advil). If stronger pain medicine is desired, it can be prescribed by our physician. You may have mild swelling and bruising for a few days. Icing the treated area as well as arnica is recommended for the first few days. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity for a few days.
The result of the Thread Lift is immediate and even more noticeable after 1-2 weeks when all the swelling and potential bruising has resolved. The results will continue to enhance as your skin produces even more collagen over the next several months which will also make the results of the thread lift last longer than the life of the threads. More threads can always be inserted down the line to continue to improve the results and prolong the results even more. If you choose to have a more intensive surgical procedure or facelift at a later point, this can be done without any problems as the PDO sutures will be absorbed completely without leaving any kind of scarring.
Like any procedure using a needle, there is a chance of bruising and swelling. However, in most people, the bruising and swelling is minimal and resolve in less than a week. There is some post-op discomfort which usually resolves quickly in most patients. If the sutures, for some reason, become visible underneath the skin or migrate, it can be easily removed if necessary and new threads can be placed.
